Body Matters Inc. is a company formed in response to the increasing incidence of lifestyle diseases in Barbados. In an effort to improve productivity, boost employee morale, minimize insurance claims and increase the profit margin of businesses, we have sought to provide routine health checks on site at workplaces and to encourage persons to take responsibilty for theie own health. Blood pressure measurements, random glucose and cholesterol testing, basic visual acuity measurement, Body mass index, weight and urine test are done in privacy at the worksite. Approriate referrals are made to the specialist or general practitioner when abnormalities are detected.

In the event of illness that require hospitaliation or specialized nursing care at home, we provide that care either in hospital or in the comfort of your own home.

Employees are trained and certified in basic First Aid and CPR with empasis being place on the situations that relavant to the particular work enviroment.In addition we conduct work place inspections, assist with the develpoment of a first responder's team and the strategic placment of first aid boxes within the workplace.

Our core health team includes  registered nurses and midwives, a nutritionist/dietician, a physiotherapist an emergency physican. We have access to 24 hr emergency radiological and labortory services as well as specialist in the varios disciplines in medicine.
